8th grade trombonist, Jesus Delgado Flores from Miguel Juarez Middle School, and 8th grade clarinetist Malik Rodriguez from Jack Benny Middle School performed with the Northshore Concert Band at Pick Staiger Concert Hall at Northwestern University on Sunday Feb 16.

On February 3 Miguel Juarez Middle School received a proclamation for the month of February to be known as "Attendance Awareness Month at Miguel Juarez". Miguel Juarez has been working hard to improve the scholars' attendance and working with the city on the proclamation signing is just another step in promoting the importance of the issue.
